ssbet77 Heavy rainfall expected in parts of Luzon, Visayas
MANILA, Philippines — Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Luzon and Visayas on Sunday afternoon due to the shear line, the state weather bureau said.
In a 2 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed the following areas under the red warning:

Article continues after this advertisement Antique (Caluya, Libertad, Pandan) Aklan (Malay, Buruanga, Nabas, Malinao, Ibajay, Tangalan, Makato, Numancia, Lezo, Kalibo, Banga, Balete, New Washington, Batan, Altavas)Pagasa said areas under the red warning may expect more than 30 millimeters (mm) of rain within the next three hours. Serious flooding is also expected.

Article continues after this advertisement Antique (Sebaste, Culasi) Aklan (Madalag, Libacao) Capiz (Sapi-An, Ivisan, Roxas City, Mambusao, Sigma)Areas under yellow warning are expected to experience heavy rain of 7.5 to 15 mm within the next three hours. Flooding is also possible in flood-prone areas.
Article continues after this advertisementThe state weather bureau likewise said that light to moderate rains, ranging from 2.5 to 7.5 mm per hour, are expected to affect Bulacan, Bataan, Pampanga, Metro Manila, and Rizal within the next three hours.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains (greater than 7.5 mm per hour) are currently affecting the following areas:

Laguna Cavite Batangas Antique (Culasi, Tibiao, Barbaza, Laua-An, Bugasong, Valderrama, Patnongon) Occidental Mindoro (Lubang, Looc, Paluan, Abra de Ilog, Mamburao, Santa Cruz, Magsaysay) Palawan (Coron, Busuanga, Culion, Linapacan, El Nido, Taytay, Araceli, Dumaran, San Vicente, Roxas, Agutaya, Cuyo, Magsaysay)Pagasa warned that these rains may continue for 2 to 3 hours and affect nearby areas.
